China A League 2006 Introduction

The event in 2006 was also sponsored by Qixin Golf Club in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. It was called the 2006 Qixin Golf Cup (2005年启新高尔夫杯中国象棋甲级联赛).
The 2003 winner was the team from Shanghai. But they were dethroned by Guangdong in 2004. A new champion, the team from Hubei would claim the crown in 2005. But Guangdong would get back the trophy in 2006.
Another noteworthy mention would be women's GM Wang Linna representing Heilongjiang in the tournament dominated by men.
