Two Devils Knocking Checkmate 双鬼拍门 (shuāng guǐ pāi mén)

When a pawn makes it to your opponent's palace to be a legitimate threat, it is fondly called a devil or small ghost (小鬼). And when there of two of these ghosts at the position of the elephant's eye at the enemy palace, you are ready for his kill.

Usually, another major piece or the king is needed to complete this kill, and one of the enemy advisors is usually captured in the process. In active play however, it is seldom possible to make this kill as your pawns are seldom allowed to move that far into enemy territory.

For players who prefer reading about the Basic Kills in a book, the Webmaster has published a book to help you out.
