Central Cannon with 3rd Pawn Advancement vs. Sandwiched Horse Defense 02a
This opening system is very commonly seen in OTB games and tournaments. It is an important section that must be learned in depth. As usual, Master Yan Wenqing and Grandmaster Zhang Qiang share their insights for this opening system.
It is divided into three sections.
In the first section, Black defends with E3+5 and Red attacks in several ways.
In the second section, Black defends with E7+5.
In the third and last section, lesser seen variations are shown.
On this page, the first section, comprised of three boards, are shown.
