Dubious Positions And How to Attack Them Boards 059-060

Chapter Five would discuss other Central Cannon counters. Boards 53-58 with the exception of Board 56 would discuss the Single Horse Defense whereby the authors would demonstrate many ways to attack from the Central File. Board 56 would discuss a commonly seen counter in amateur matches: the Elephant Eye Horse (abbreviated E-eye Horse).  Boards 59-60 would discuss the Left Cannon Blockade.

The discussions that were given are very practical and useful.

For the sake of presentation, the Webmaster has divided the Single Horse Defense (and Board 56) into two different pages and the Left Cannon Blockade into a third page. This page will showcase Boards 59 and 60.

The author is extremely grateful to have obtained the permission from Grandmaster Zhang Qiang and Master Yan Wenqing to translate their work and present them to the English speaking world.
