This opening system is one of the most complicated opening systems that is used in tournaments today. Black's Edge Cannon for Chariot Exchange Variation is aggressive and versatile, giving both colors many options to reach a complicated situation. There are many sub-variations in this opening system. In a nutshell,  the authors have divided it into three sections for discussion:

  • a) Red attacking with the Left Riverbank Horse;
  • b) Red attacking with the 59 Cannons; and
  • c) Others methods of Red attacks and Black Counters.

In this page, we will be discussing the section on other methods of attacks by Red and counters by Black.
