21st May: Sunday, finally found some time to do the next double cross river cannons variation. This time a slightly more modern variation is seen. Click here ...
20th May: GM vs GM in this North vs South Match. Click here ... Unfortunately, I have yet been able to find more details about the match.
19th May: An annotated game between Master Wang Yang vs GM Liu Dahua back in 2005. Click here ...Also added the ans up till the 16th of May ... Click here ...
18th May: A third board on the same opening, the traditional way! Click here...

16th May: Have added the first board in a series of 3 boards on one of the bloodiest screen horse variations there is: the double cross river cannons. Click here ...
15th May: Added a second GM Xu Yinchuan game, this time against Master Li Zhiping. Click here ...Also added the ans up till the 12th of May ... Click here ...
14th May: Have added all 10 games played in the 1st ever Yinli Cup, a tournament which was equivalent in nature to the 5 Rams Cup. Indeed, these two tournaments were often thought to be the toughest tournaments in the world. Click here for a short introduction of the Yinli Cup. The games can be found on the right hand column. I have tried my best to collect the games, sort them out and classify them according to the openings played. Hope you enjoy them.
13th May: Thunder and lightning and rain for the past few days...sigh. So I decided to add an unorthodox opening , the Thunder God Cannons . Click here ... Unorthodox opening, proceed at your own risk...
12th May: Computer more or less back to normal...sheesh. now I am way back in the work i should have done... LOL. Uploaded the ans to the puzzles till the 8th ...Click here ... And Mr Chris Hankinson has come to my rescue, clearing doubts about a comment by GM Xu Yinchuan (move 4) in the game I uploaded a few days ago. Thanks! Have made the appropriate corrections.
11th May: Only been able to upload a short modern day game by Master Zhu Xiaohu against GM Hu Ronghua's famed sandwiched horse defense. Click here ... My computer would be hopefully ok by tomorrow or two days later.
10th May: not been able to do much stuff. uploaded a game by GM Xu Yinchuan which was also annotated by him.
9th May: the final duck entry. Click here for p6.
