Chapter 1 How To Learn The XiangQi Opening 09

GM Liu DianZhong continues with the very basic and very fundamental theories in XiangQi openings in the following boards. MUST READ. This is also the final section to the first chapter.
The GM ends this chapter discussing and showing the best possible time to attack and also points out pawn sacrifices that may be used to gain momentum or positional advantage. Unlike International Chess, pawn sacrifices are often made in the early stages and throughout the game. This might take some getting use to for the IC player.
