Cannon vs Cannon Openings:
SDC Filed Chariot vs Ranked Chariot (Heavenly Horse Variation!)
Chapter One deals with the Same Direction Cannons: Filed Chariot vs Ranked Chariot. In Section One, red attacks with R2+6 followed by R2=3. Black counters very aggressively with R9=4.
In Section Two, black improvises and comes up with the Heavenly Horse Variation!!! This is one of the most famous variations that made its name in the1950's. It represented a bridge between the SDC from the ancient times to the SDC of the modern times. This is a must learn opening!
