Shifting 騰挪 or simply 挪 is one of the harder to master tactics in XiangQi, but it would often lead to great gains if applied successfully. In the following examples, you will learn how to recognize when it might be an option in your game.
One of the hardest things that I have encountered thus far is to find a suitable translation for the term, but alas, although I do not think that "shifting" is an appropriate term, but I can not think of any better term, and have had to give in. Anybody, especially those with a background in International Chess, who has a better term, please tell me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Very practical! Enjoy!
