The Plum Flower Springs Manual
<<梅花泉>>  Vol. 2, Games 11-14

Presented below are games 11-14 from volume 2 of The Plum Flower Springs Manual by Tong (date unknown), and updated and expanded by Xue in the Qing dynasty.
This is another masterpiece, whose openings are still influential in today's games.
I have no time to annotate the important moves, but it should be nice just watching red and black go at teach other.
Please take a look at board 13. Black's counter is seldom used but nevertheless interesting.
Abbreviations used:
cc = central cannon , fr = filed chariot , rr= ranked chariot , rbc = riverbank cannon
5pa = 5th pawn advancement, clh = central linked horses/mandarin duck horses
sch = screen horse defence ,
shd = single horse defence
Enjoy!
